Driftwood PANTONE 18-1210
I make no apologies. I like sludge. You'll find me veering towards neutrals before I'll venture into vibrants. This week's colour is one that I'd wear, paint with, crochet with and it will always be a favourite. It's not brown, it's driftwood.
Pantone's description sums up why I like it,
'Natural, versatile neutrals add practicality to this season’s brights. Driftwood, an adaptable blend of beige and gray with a slightly weathered feel.'
The slightly weathered feel, that's what I like. It's not pristine or in your face. It's been around the block a bit. The colour of peeling bark and flotsam, the never knowing what it once was. Adaptability? Yes! I can't think of a colour that it doesn't look good with.
Driftwood is the colour of tweed jackets and brogues, old leather chairs and cigar smoke. Find out much more in this treasury of my Etsy favourites.

Your treasury fits the pantone description perfectly! There is also something permanent and stable about the colour and something comforting too. Val
Love your treasury Baban, there is something comforting and a sense of permanence about the collection - just like colour and your description along with Pantone's. Val
Gorgeous treasury Cat! :-)
I love the colour
this morning, as i'm folding clothes, i was just noticing how much gray, taupe, beigey-gray shirts my sons have as i pulled out my driftwoody colored shirt to wear and checked on the stain on my favorite charcoal gray sweater:) i'm with you, i love this color! and i love your description - it's been around the block a bit.
I love it! I normally sway more towards vibrants but I can do this too, I have actually really been enjoying the minimalist look a lot lately!!!
So proud to be featured here on your wonderful blog!
Thank you!
